Our Founder

Michelle O. Clark, M.D., DLFAPA

Dr. Michelle Clark is a distinguished psychiatrist with over 45 years of experience in adult psychiatry, consultation-liaison, forensic psychiatry, and culturally responsive mental health care. A graduate of Columbia University and UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute, she has served as Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF and was the founding director of the Black Focus Program at San Francisco General Hospital.

Dr. Clark's practice is shaped by her leadership in national organizations such as the American Psychiatric Association and Black Psychiatrists of America, where she has received multiple honors for her service, advocacy, and contributions to cross-cultural psychiatry. She continues to lead with humility, depth, and commitment to social justice in mental health.

Our Philosophy

We believe in treating the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. We draw from medical psychiatry, cross-cultural understanding, and integrative medicine to meet each client where they are. Our care is deeply informed by decades of clinical, academic, and advocacy work focused on equity, access, and healing.

Our Goals

By supporting individuals' mental health and well-being, they, their families and their communities will thrive. By supporting the provider pipeline through mentorship, the impact upon the mental health of the communities will be sustained.

Client Support

We support clients across a broad range of needs-from anxiety and depression, trauma related symptoms and medical-psychiatric complications - grounded in  understanding and integrative practices. We do not provide inpatient or emergency psychiatric services.
